1. We believe in one only true and living God, and Trinity of persons in the God-head, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and yet not three but one God.
2. We believe that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired words of God, and the only rule of faith and practice and we prefer the translation made under the authority of King James.
3. We believe that the whole of the human family were created in Adam, their seminal head, and that all alike fell in him by his transgression of the law, and all partake of his sinful nature, and are all born into the world sinners by nature.
4. We believe in a covenant of redemption by the Holy Trinity and that a definite number of the fallen sons and daughters of Adam were chosen in Christ before the world began, that they should be holy and without blame before Him in love.
5. We believe that all chosen in Christ shall be called, regenerated and sanctified by the Holy Spirit and that they will be justified in the sight of God by the righteousness of Christ imputed to them, and will be preserved through grace and never finally fall away.
6. We believe that evangelical faith is the gift of God and good works are the fruit of faith, and justify us in the sight of men and angels, as evidence of our gracious state.
7. We believe that all the Spiritual blessings that are essential for the consummation of the eternal salvation of the elect were given them in Christ before the world began, and in time bestowed upon them by virtue of His atoning for them.
8. We believe that baptism and the Lord's supper are ordinances of Jesus Christ and that true believers are the only subjects of baptism and that immersion is the only Apostolic mode.
">9. We
believe that washing the saints feet is a duty enjoined
by Jesus Christ and
ought to be
done in church
capacity.
10. We believe no
minister has any
right to
administer the ordinances of the gospel but one
who is
regularly
baptised and called of God, and has
come under the imposition of the hands of
the
presbytery.
11. We
believe that none but regularly baptised
believers have
a right to commune
at the Lord's
table.
12. We
believe
in the resurrection of the
just and the unjust: the just shall be fashioned
like
the glorious body of Christ;
that the felicity of the saints and the
punishment of
the wicked will be
everlasting.
13.
We believe
it
disorder for any member of the Church to
affiliate with any secret, oath-bound
institution, or
any institution
other than the Church which contains a form of
worship.
14. We believe
that Christ set in the
Church
everything it
needs and
that aids,
and
auxiliaries of any nature are
unscriptural.
